Ms. Chen joined Pacific Law Group's corporate department in June 2012, before which she worked at a San Francisco law firm for three years. Ms. Chen's practice focuses on entity formation (domestic and off-shore), venture capital and angel financing, contracts and licensing, corporate governance, merger acquisitions, and advising start-ups and established multi-national companies on various legal issues they may encounter in the daily operation.
Yingying Chen was born and grew up in China. She obtained both the Bachelor of Law and Master of Law degrees from Nanjing University School of Law. After one year's doctoral study at the Institute of Law, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing, Ms. Chen came to the United States to pursue her Ph.D. and J.D. degrees from Arizona State University. In 2010, Ms. Chen obtained her Ph.D. degree in Justice and Social Inquiry, and finished her last year study of the J.D. program at the UC Berkeley School of Law.
While Ms. Chen was studying law in Nanjing, she helped found the Nanjing University Legal Aid Center, the first law student-led pro bono program in China. During her J.D. program in the U.S., Ms. Chen served as a Law Clerk for Chief Justice Ann A. Scott Timmer of Arizona Appellate Court, as the Articles Editor for Jurimetrics: Law, Science, and Technology, and as the President of Asian Pacific American Law Students Association.
Ms. Chen is a member of the State Bar of California.
